How many of you are actively researching into methods of accurately determining realistic accelerated durability test schedules or targets. I think this could be a good opportunity to cover techniques and analysis processes required, maybe even pooling ideas.
I am looking for like minded experts to add to the experience acquired in stretching the nSoft and allied tools to cover customer usage profiling, through correlation, onto proving ground schedules and finally advances in virtual proving gerounds and rigs.
Review WWW.MIRA.CO.UK and WWW.RDCOM.COM.
Post some ideas here, and we can see where the ideas lead.
Currently I am reviewing how to accurately assess the usage profiles for various 'green' vehicles. It is obviously not sensible for most green type vehicles to be proven using the same targets and drive cycles as exisitng say passenger cars - as they typically have different usage pattern imposed by charging times, access to fuels and/or allowing a new capability that has not yet been available.

Incedently this topic happened to be the first ever post on the forum site - but I jumped the gun and managed to log a topic before the site was officially open. That would be why my posts number was negative I suppose.

hello David, I've read your paper on customer correlation, and I am kinda into this.
you mentioned in that article that the ncode customer correlation is achieved by SIMPLEX LINEAR PROGRAMMING.
I have learned the basics of the underlying theories about simplex linear programming, but there are still some questions about it.
Can you give some technical papers, like SAE papers, that might help me understand how the customer correlation works.
I would be sooooooooo hornoured if you drop me an email at iwantd50@yahoo.com.cn.
thanxxxxxxx!!!

I have been very busy lately, and have not reviewed the nCode site. Sorry haven't kept this thread up to date.
There are a number of papers written, SAE, IMechE and E-I-S. If you review their sites, the various papers can be found. i will return later and publish some numbers and links directly to them.
Unfortunately majority of these are 'pay for' sites and so I cannot just link you to the papaers themselves. Majority of SAE and UIMechE stuff is copywrite, even for the authors and presenters, sorry.
So, try these for now ...
